The Teal Lake Radar Run committee puts on this snowmobile event each year in
conjunction with the Heikki Lunta Winterfest. This year's event will be held on January 11 and 12, 2008. Pre-registration and a bonfire will take place from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Teal Lake in Negaunee on Friday. Registration takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, with racing from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the awards banquet at Pasquali's at 6:00 p.m. Race officials hope to offer both ice and snow tracks next year, weather permitting, and have a longer track to accommodate faster sleds--some reaching speeds of up to 160 mph. Please note that all snowmobiles will be required to have a tether on their sled this year. Volunteers are needed for track maintenance, pre-registration and race day activities. Please call Joe at (906)228-4200 for details.
